Having previously studied under Ben Groenvelt for 3 years Liam is currently studying classical Double Bass at the University of Bristol with private tuition from Daphna Sadeh , Liam is in a number of projects from Dark Jazz to Folk, Balkan Folk and the university symphony and chamber Orchestra. Liam is also playing Rock and Pop for function/wedding bands. including the Becky Shel Duo, and the Small Things, along side regular session work having recorded bass for 4 albums in 2022 alone.

Since taking up the Double Bass in 2015 Liam has found himself on a variety of prestigious stages including Glastonbury's Avalon Cafe Stage and Shambala's Chai Wallahs alongside smaller stages at Boomtown, SGP, Wilderness and many more. He has travelled as far as Bulgaria and Portugal as well as performing around the UK in Arts centres, concert halls, venues and living rooms, including HOME in Manchester and the Jazz cafe in London. Liam has played for a rich variety of artists from the world of folk and Balkan Folk music, including Young Waters, Troyka Bristol, Solana, The Striking Clock, Selke, Rebecca Shelley, Duke Hazard and Tell Tale Tusk. A highlight of this era was recording with Young Waters at Real World Studios.
